Renew your Indian passport abroad: step by step
Your mission's checklist, photos and forms. Open the guide in Picproved to tick off each step and go straight to the tool that does it.
Open your mission's checklist. Tick off each document on this device as you gather it. Every line links to the mission's own checklist.
Make the 630×810 px upload. Passport Seva takes exactly 630×810 pixels, a JPEG under 250 KB with a white background. You get 12 upload attempts, so check it first.
Print the same photo. The printed photos must be the same photo as the upload, at your mission's size.
Make the signature file. Sign in black ink on white paper. The file is a JPEG under 100 KB.
Copy the passport pages. Photograph the pages your mission asks for and print them at their real size.
Find your Annexures. Answer a few questions to see which declarations your case needs, such as Annexure E.
Book and submit. Book with the centre that covers where you live, or post it if your mission allows.
Set reminders. Add your Indian passport and your residence permit or visa, so neither runs out unnoticed.
