What photo does the OCI portal take?

A square JPEG with a plain light-colour background (the MHA's FAQ says not white), 200×200 to 900×900 pixels and under 200 KB (Picproved makes it 600×600), which fits every official limit we found. The printed photo must be the same photo; each mission says how many prints and what size.

Does the checklist depend on where I live?

Yes. This page shows the UK list (High Commission of India, London, through VFS Global). In the app, choose your country and the pack follows that mission's own checklist: the UK, the USA, the UAE, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Germany, the Netherlands.

What size is the OCI signature?

A JPEG three times as wide as it is tall, under 200 KB. For a child who can't sign, the UK checklist doesn't say what to give instead, so ask VFS when you book. In the app, choose your country to see your own mission's rule.

How big can each document be?

Upload each document as one PDF under 500 KB. The upload fixer straightens and cleans the pages and keeps the text readable.

The checklist, signature and document PDFs are free. The checked photo is one photo credit, which covers the upload and the prints.
