Terms of use

Last updated 29 October 2026

These terms apply when you use Picproved on the website or in the Android app. Please read them, especially the parts about acceptance and refunds.

Who we are

Picproved is run by Dorin D Souza, a sole trader in the United Kingdom trading as Picproved. You can contact us at support@picproved.com. By using Picproved you agree to these terms. If you buy credits, these terms form the agreement between you and us, alongside the seller's own terms: Paddle on the website, Google Play in the Android app.

What Picproved does

Picproved helps you make passport, visa, ID and exam photos to each document's published rules. It guides the camera, checks the photo, can replace the background, and saves the exact size and file the document needs, with print sheets, signatures and resizing. Checks, guidance and previews are free. When payments are on, you pay only to save a finished photo.

Picproved is photo-editing software that works on photos you take yourself. It doesn't create, swap or change faces, doesn't generate images of people, and doesn't book appointments or submit visa or passport applications.

Not a government service

Picproved is not affiliated with any government, embassy or exam body. Rules come from official sources, linked for each document, and they change often. Always confirm the current rules on the official website before you submit.

No guarantee of acceptance

The office or portal you apply to decides whether to accept a photo. Our scores and checks are estimates that help you avoid common problems, and a pass is not a promise of acceptance. We never claim that every photo will be accepted. If a paid photo is rejected, see Refunds and redos below.

Prices and paying

Prices are on the Prices page and include VAT or GST where it applies. On the website, Paddle.com is the merchant of record: it sells you the credits, takes the payment and sends the receipt. In the Android app, Google Play is the seller, and its prices can differ slightly. You pay in full when you order.

Free while we launch: saving a photo costs nothing yet and no payment is taken. The prices on the Prices page apply once payments open.

See Prices for the packs, who sells them, refunds and how to contact support.

Credits

One credit saves one photo of one person: every size and file format the document needs, the print sheet and a ZIP. The same photo saves again free for 24 hours, with any edit, size or sheet. Unused credits expire one year after purchase. Credits are kept on your device with your order ID; keep the ID to restore them on a new phone. Credits have no cash value and can't be resold.

Document packs

Some tools are sold as a pack: one person's photo credit plus the files that pack lists, such as page copies, a signature or document PDFs. The pack's price and contents show before you pay. Its photo credit works like any other credit, and its files stay unlocked on the device where you bought it, or one you restore it to with the order ID, for one year.

Your right to cancel

Photos are digital content delivered straight away. When you pay, you ask for them to be delivered at once and agree that this ends your 14-day right to cancel. This doesn't affect your other rights, described below.

Refunds and redos

Rejected? Tell us within 90 days. We redo it free and refund you. No letter needed. The free redo is one photo credit, added from Orders and keys in the app once per order and usable for 30 days; like any credit, it saves one person's photo for any document. The refund is the price you paid for that photo: Paddle refunds the card or account you paid with, and for Android purchases Google Play does, under its refund rules. Make the redo photo before the refund is made: once an order has been refunded in full, its remaining credits and its redo key end. The same happens if your bank reverses a payment (a chargeback). If you paid but got no photo, or were charged twice, email support with the order ID and you'll be refunded.

Under UK consumer law, digital content must be as described, fit for purpose and of satisfactory quality. If it isn't, you may be entitled to a repair, a replacement or a refund. Nothing in these terms affects those rights.

Fair use

Only make photos of yourself, of people who agreed, or of children in your care. A photo studio or other business may use Picproved for its customers if they agree. Don't use Picproved to deceive an authority, forge or alter a document, change how a person looks in ways the rules forbid, or pretend to be someone else. Don't try to break, overload or copy the app or the payment server, and don't share or sell order keys or redo keys. We may refuse a key that is misused.

Your photos

Your photos belong to you. They stay on your device and we never receive them, so we can't recover them for you. Keep the files you need somewhere safe.

Pictures on this site

The example photos and screenshots on this site are Picproved's own, made with computer-generated faces, never customers' photos. You may share them unchanged with a link to picproved.com, for example in an article or a post about photo rules. To use them in any other way, email support@picproved.com.

Changes to the app

We keep improving Picproved and update document rules as they change, so features may change. We may pause the app or payments for maintenance. If we ever stop selling credits, we'll keep paid credits usable until they expire, or refund the unused ones.

Our responsibility to you

If we break these terms or fail to use reasonable care and skill, we are responsible for loss you suffer that was a foreseeable result. We are not responsible for loss that wasn't foreseeable, for business losses, or for loss caused by an office's decision, changed rules or wrong information you gave. Free features are provided as they are. Our total responsibility for a purchase is limited to the price you paid for it. We don't limit our responsibility for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law doesn't allow us to limit.

Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales can hear disputes. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring a claim there, and if you live elsewhere you keep any protection your local law gives you. If something goes wrong, please email us first and we'll try to put it right.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms, and the date at the top shows the current version. Changes don't affect credits you bought before them.
